Coney Island will be rebuilt!
Over 1,000 #ConeyRecovers volunteers did amazing work in Coney Island today—from sweeping streets and playgrounds, to distributing hundreds of hot meals, to helping residents and merchants throughout the neighborhood. To the hundreds of teachers from UFT/AFT, the hundreds who volunteered through NYC Service and the NYC Parks, the hundreds who volunteered through Luna Park, the mobilizations by City Harvest, American Red Cross, Whole Foods, Fresh Direct, and Lucy’s Sausage Truck, and the many others who were so generous with their time and donations: THANK YOU! More to come…
Super proud to work at Luna Park today!
Please visit www.nycservice.org to find out how you can help Coney Island residents.
If you have time or money, donate to help someone in need. Coney Island is a true disaster area with many people without food and water.
Coney Island, maybe?
